once again. lucky stars are shining on me whenever my wallet lost! why am i soo muddle-headed & careless? can someone knock me, please? former S1 ALS and Mr Tan Dek Peng each found my missing wallet on different occasions. the latter is a taxi driver whose his kindness is beyond words to describe. he came knocking at my place to return the wallet to me last night. what really touches me was it was his 2nd trip he made. he came in the afternoon but no one was home at that time. people! where on earth you will see taxi drivers make trips down to you doorstep just to return your belongings? where they can just return it to their company instead? to S1 ALS & Mr Tan Dek Peng... i truly appreciates your kindheartedness. the following is an email i sent to comfort taxi this morning... haas (immediately wrote this once i woke up) To: Whom it may concern Re: Compliments to Company and Mr Tan Dek Peng Dear Sir/Madam, On 14 Dec 2007, I took a taxi (SHA 2708D) to East Coast Park from Tampines with 2 of my friends. After alighting from the taxi, I did not realize my wallet had dropped in the taxi until the driver returned it to me in the evening. My compliments to the driver, Mr Tan Dek Peng, took the trouble to return it to my home in the afternoon. However, nobody was home at that time. Instead of returning the intact wallet to the company, his remarkable selflessness made him rushed down from town to return it to my home in the evening. I’m particularly impressed and appreciated Mr Tan’s thoughtfulness in returning any belongings to the owner. His cordial and helpfulness character with your company indeed makes him a great example of a service orientated person. I hope the authorities could reward Mr. Tan’s kindness accordingly. Please accept my sincere gratitude. Thank you. Regards told mummy about this incident after returning home last night. as usual, was ticked off for being careless and heartless! why heartless? because i did not give any monetary gratitude to the driver since he took the trouble to return the wallet to my place TWICE! goosh... felt soo guilty after 'kena' mummy's lecture! surely mum will want me to fork out some money if she's at home when the driver came. soo sorry to the driver... hopefully his company will do the necessary incentives to Mr Tan. cheers.ciaoz Labels: best from me Posted by BEST at 11:56 AM
