is this what i want?
Sunday, January 13, 2008
hitting the gym & slacking @ home is how i spent my weekends. suddenly dont feel like going anywhere but to stay home. is this what i want? im suffering from "severe boredom" syndrome. soo bored that i sketched new arrangements to my room (since i'll be spending 2/3 of time in room. haas.) felt something is wrong. ive always looked forward to weekends. when i can spend precious time with loved ones & friends. however somehow rather does not hav this feeling now. in fact im looking forward to camp tomorrow! what is happening to me? mummy told me this over dinner "its okay if you need not accompany us for dinner. go for your date or programmes and hav fun" with ah ma adding on "dont keep sticking with us! next time your gf will be unhappy de!" was laughing out loud. i replied to them "no matter what. with or without gf i'll be sticking with you forever! haas" was watching a national geographic documentary on "china circus" this morning. children as young as 5years-old undergo vigorous circus trainings (worst than my bmt training) and merciless scoldings from their trainers. one incident dismayed me was 2 trainers stretched a little boy's pair of legs to the max till he cries. yet trainers claimed that this is to train their legs flexibility! recently newspapers also reported that young gymnasts in china suffer torturous trainings so as to be olympic medal hopefuls. they were asked to hang on poles for 5mins and one even got beating marks on his back. why do this to a small kid? arent their parents feel hurt knowing that their children will get injured or suffer beatings? yes! no pain no gain. come on they are just a kid! if this happens to singapore they'll definitely be charged for child abuse! hahas. speaking of young kids. shocked to see my "friendly"-cop-neighbour using baton to interrogate 3 kids (seems to be in their sec sch age) who vandalise walls on the ground floor of my block this afternoon. question. why pinned them down like they are criminals or serious offenders? why use a baton to interrogate them? yes. vandalism is an offence. afterall they are just playful kids. by interrogating them like what you did this afternoon is totally unacceptable. all you need to do is to warn them in a nicer manner or call the police (anyway you are not on duty). as i was driving past your area i hav the urge to call or message you for a drink or chat however i know you'll be busy with your studies i can only discreetly pass by your block with a missing smile... ...
