faulty IU-unit

faulty IU unit brought much trouble and inconvenience to me and other motorists. are there any alternatives if your IU unit is not working? was embarrassed by an incident at plaza singapura moments ago. cashcard is in 'perfect shape' & has sufficient value for deduction. however IU unit in my car couldnt detect the carpark's electronic exit barrier for close to 10mins. even after removing & inserting the cashcard several times. as well as moving my vehicle forward and backward, hoping the sensor would detect my IU unit.

worst! was stuck on a slope and had my car nearly slammed through the barrier. several cars were jammed up because of this (apologies drivers!) fortunately they did not horn me or else i'll be too 'kan chiong' to do anything at that moment. haas. moreover tried very hard to follow 'unclear' instructions given by a staff through the intercom. after an agonizing 10mins the exit barrier finally makes way for me.

felt that electronic barriers shuld hav alternative ways instead of using only vehicle's IU unit. alternatives could be allowing drivers to insert cashcard manually through the system. or adopting old method like in the past. collecting a card/coin when enters into the carpark, makes payment through a machine & insert back the 'paid' card/coin before leaving the carpark. these alternatives could bring much convenience in case of our vehicle's IU unit breaks down.

was unsure if cashcard value was deducted from city's ERP gantry just now. as cashcard was unable to show the balance from the IU unit. soo did i pay for the ERP gantry? haas. shall wait till summones sent to me then... ...

argh. whole body is aching.
