vgo mount faber run finally ends 3 consecutive weekends of running events i participated. no saturday nights fever. early beautiful sundays burnt (when i can log till noon). unable to accompany parents for sunday breakfast. and not performing weekend house chores over the past 3weeeks. haas. aft much travelling to practice & town yesterday. was feeling extremely tired as i do not hav at least 7hrs of sleep before the run. furthermore was feeling alittle stomach upset before the race. prob due to the bbq 'spicy' stingray with doreen last night. and somehow it was still grinding in my tummy at the starting point this morning. haas. it only gets better aft the race was flagged off. fortunately i do not hav to look for toilet during the race. wohoo. wasnt at my best condition today. took 1hr 01mins (based on gun time) to cross the finishing line. the challenging.tiring up-slopes of mount faber forced me to walk-a-jog couple of times. even do not hav the energy to enjoy the beautiful scenery from its peak as i was heavily-panting away. haas. upon reaching the down-slopes ive seen runners sprinting down as if they are about to roll down from the hill. haas. it was sooo dangerous lah. hence i kept at my usual pace to prevent pulled muscles while running down. eventually increased my pace the moment am on sea level for the last 2km. ive never like incline-running. but one thing for sure is that it enables to train runner's endurance and strength for long distance. too bad. there's no hills around my area. but lottas overhead bridges. haas. though timing was unsatisfactory. it was an incredible experience running up & down over-looking sentosa & cbd. one event to go to achieve one resolution of the year. wohoo. trainings hav to be adjusted from tomorrow. due to the commencement of the temp job. will try my best not to decrease the frequency of weekly runs. it may sounds dubious. as putting on the running gear after reaching home from work is difficult. argh. unlike when i was in base. where we had a choice to run in the late afternoon. prob hav a 'city run' aft work at least once a week? cheers.ciaoz Labels: best from me, running Posted by BEST at 11:20 AM
