foreign talents in local country... many people hav been asking me this. "are you returning to studies aft your contract ends?" my ans to them is - most probably. in fact am enjoying my work and the people around me. it may be too early to say this. as time & environment change may affect any decision overtime. i wuld want to grab any opportunities that charge against me. but eventually - what do i want? received a breakfast pack of 'wang wang' & 'pocky chocolate' from my guardian angel yesterday morning. many guardian angels were on strike for the past few days. probably they did not want to risk of being voted as the "rotten angel of the year" award. haas. congratulations to singapore table-tennis women's team! an olympic medal aft 48years. unfortunately i din managed to catch the match. is this a medal to be proud of for all singaporeans? am happy for them. sadly am not proud at all. somehow i dont feel the same like how malaysians feel when their homegrown shutter enters into the badminton singles' final or americans feel when 'dolphine' phelps washes all the gold medals seemly effortlessly. surprisingly. more attention was on another paddler, feng tianwei instead of li jiawei. just be'cos li jiawei lost while feng tianwei won the last match for spore! jiawei is a regular figure & has been with the national team for more 10years while feng joined the national team only last april. was kinda dismayed by new paper reports "feng was released by china as she was not mentally strong" - means she was an unwanted paddler in china? these sports people hav a strong foundation back in their homeland. all they need to do is to put extra effort here. why dont they nurture our young local talents? no wonder sissy has slowly given up on this sport & move on to other interest. she started this sport & has won many medals since her pri sch days. but was over-shadowed by the breakthrough of foreign talents in spore. well. we may feel appeased that other countries hav foreign talents representing their countries too. these 3 ladies are guaranteed at least 200k in their pockets each. many wondered... what's next? cheers.ciaoz Labels: best from me Posted by BEST at 2:32 PM
