sundown training.week2.day1... sundown marathon is jus 2weeks away. runners who hav been training actively for this day. probably will be havin their taper runs this week. yet am miles away from being prepared for this race. nevertheless. put on my running gears and pounded approx. 17km in 2hrs04mins earlier. my 2nd 'after dusk run' aft last thurs night run @ ecp. this time round. started from my place to changi. back and fro along the partial sundown route (known as waterfront trail & homerun). was planning to run to the starting pt of sundown before taking a break & back along the same route. instead u-turn at changi air base as my heart rate was pumping extremely fast. it takes alot of courage to pound along loyang ave alone. esp changi area aft midnight. haas. guess i was too terrified to carry on upon reaching changi air base. for couple of moments during the run along loyang ave. area went complete slient. no passing vehicles. no sound of insects. vision was misty. only footsteps were heard. ahhh... *screaming inside* to prevent from hearing any "additional footsteps". i picked up my speed. hoping to reach the shell station @ junction of pasir ris dr 3 & loyang ave for my break. no doubt. believed my speed along loyang ave was the fastest within the 17km route. haas. will be going for half-marathon distance next. and am for sure i will start much earlier if were to pound on the same route. haas. had an eventful outing with uni mates across the causeway over the weekend. will blog much about it soon. as for now... am knockin out. cheers.ciaoz Labels: running Posted by BEST at 3:46 AM
